This is the view from the main sea-face at Pondicheri, Tamil Nadu. A lovely little city, ex-French colony, and still very French. Fairly always packed with tourists. Close to Auroville (Auroville beach is lovely), and the Aurobindo Ashram. My fondest memories are of a pretty cat, and a lovely bottle of wine I bought at a great price.
