The Island Fortress

Three bikers met at 6:00, and decide to ride to Murud-Janjira, a beach 150 km from Bombay. Murud is the beach, and Janjira is an island fortress, also known as the Unconquered Fort, because try as he did, Shivaji never managed to capture this fabulous fort. I wish I had better pics though. This was taken on my phone.
Perfect weekend getaway from Bombay – full package includes great sea-food, sailboats, secret underground tunnel that leads to the island, a lovely lighthouse, and a mysterious island under govt. control that no body is allowed to go to.
