Golden Temple, Amritsar
My first post had to include this serene beauty. Something happens to me when I witness the sunrise here, I feel exalted, calm and positive. And I experience these vibrations at other sacred places too. It’s beyond my understanding why it happens here alone; it takes me beyond the material world. Miracles too do happen here. For others, its been a place to receive blessings. For me its been a journey to discover myself.

No, its not an island. But the temple is in the middle of a man-made pond (sarovar), which would initially supply water to places surrounding it…
