This 15th Century, Monolithic statue of Lord Ganesh, stands at over 15 feet. It is one of the largest sculptures amongst the ruins of the Vijayanagar Kingdom in Hampi, India. The belly of this Ganesh is shaped like a Bengal Gram, giving it the local name, Kadale Kalu (Bengal-gram) Ganesha.

Millions of devotees celebrate Vinayaka’s Birthday today on Vinayaka Chaturthi.
