A lambani woman wearing elaborate jewelery and bright colors, stares into the distance. The Lambani’s are a Gypsy tribe found in the western and southern parts of India. They are known to be very skilled at embroidery and other handicraft.

  1. Love the colours and her look.

  2. Lovely colors. And very Nat-Geo’esque!

  3. i have to agree abt the Nat-Geo bit :) I would also love to know the EXIF.

  4. Camera: Nikon D40
    Flash: Not Used
    Focal Length: 110.0mm
    Exposure Time: .002s (1/500)
    Exposure: Shutter Priority
    Aperture: f/4.8
    ISO: 360

I used my NIkkor 55-200 VR Lens, it gives great bokeh and it sharp.

  5. very cool !

  6. Pretty interesting! I think the exposure could have been a little less. Also, I am not a great fan of high ISO for portraits but I guess the wrinkles on the face are complimented with higher noice using high ISO. As Bharath said a very NatGeo look!
