Stepped-Tank at Hampi

The  Stepped Tank in Hampi’s Royal Enclosure Ruins was widely by the royals for religious purposes. There is security all day long. But, I was here at 7 am all set to quietly steal a photograph by tip-toeing in to the tank

    wow, I think every photo enthusiast who goes to Hampi gets this shot. Good composition :-)

    But judging my the angle of the shadow on the steps, I doubt if this is 7 AM :)

    Well composed. I think the maximum photos on this blog are from Hampi. Its high time I go visit this place!

    So this is what happened, i woke up early and set out at 6.30 to click photos, I did cover several other monumwnts/ruins before reaching the Royal enclosure where this tank is located. The fact that i found the place unguarded, made me believe it was due to the early hours.
