   Is there any reason why most elephants are named Laxmi?

   When was this picture taken? I heard that Laxmi was involved in a road accident, I think it was in 2008? We have been looking for her since and we were told by the holy men (at the Arpora temple) that she was not well enough to travel to Goa?

   @ Isabelle – It was Feb 2007 that I took the photo. Probably saw her the next year too, but not since.. haven’t been there in a while…

   Afrin, thank you for letting me know. It is such a gorgeous and friendly animal. Hopefully we’ll hear some good news about her soon.
