Here comes the train!

For people living on the outer edges of the Chambal Valley, this dinky little train that runs from Gwalior to Sheopur, is a lifeline. No wonder it is patronized so well.

  1. I think I wouldn’t like to go on top, but then, inside it must be really hot.
    I took a train or two back in India. Luckily that wasn’t one of them.

  2. I actually rode on the roof of the opposite train (picture of that coming up in the next few weeks). It was great and not dangerous at all – the train moves very slowly.

  7. Yes, most of them do. And at bigger stations there is a guy who gets on the roof and checks tickets!
