This is a photo-response to yesterday’s photo. This gathering of Siberian Cranes that migrate during the Indian winters to a small village called Khichan in Rajasthan was my moment where I was reminded of Alfred Hitchcock’s Birds.

    khichan is really a fabulous place to visit . i have been there many times as it is my motherland. i would really feel good there. the siberian cranes have added beauty to the village besides the beauty of peacock. it is the nature’s gift to the village .

    These are not Siberian cranes. These are Demoiselle Cranes. Have a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demoiselle_Crane for more information.

    These are not Siberian Crane, These are Common Crane, The last siberian crane was seen in India was in Year 2002 at Bharat Pur Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary
