Guarding the Goods Train!

As a kid I would always count the number of bogeys of a goods train passing by. Now, I ponder over the loneliness of the guard who travels alone at the back of the train with a flag & a walkie-talkie and waves back fondly at all the kids.

Was shot while waiting at a ‘phatak’ in Sanchi, Madhya Pradesh.
