Temples in Bali

Two years of posting photos! And hopefully many more to come…

Anyway, this photo is up in this special week because we’re allowing ourselves a little slack and posting photos that may not have been made in India, but have some Indian vibe to it. I was in Bali, Indonesia in December last year and I was struck by:

1) How much the place just felt like.. another part of India. (Also pretty dirty, like India)

2) The extremely strong religious faith shown by people there, everyone makes offerings to God the first thing in the morning and every single building, house, shop has in a corner their own little temple (like shown in this photo). Many, many Hindus in Bali, and statues of Ram, Sita, Shiva and Buddha everywhere.

PS: Thanks for sticking around. We’ve had our shares of ups and downs, but we promise to keep the images coming. Love.

  1. I swear India is more dirtier than Bali! And Bali is more peaceful..

  2. Sorry for the sentiment, I’m Indonesian and have seen India in reality.
