The Easter-egg is widely used as a symbol of the start of new life, just as new life emerges from an egg when the chick hatches out.

    Nice photo, but wanted to point out that photographing close-ups of nests in use is a practice that is not being encouraged by nature experts the world over, for fear of exposing the nests to disturbance and also the enhanced risk of predators. Also, all noteworthy photo contests also prohibit nest photos from participants.
